Restaurant Leuchtfeuer Duhnen in Cuxhaven

Very good after a long walk on the beach. Even if it wasn't on the menu, the waitress conjured up something special for our children.

Everything was great, very good courteous staff, great kitchen! We were absolutely thrilled!

Mandatory visit when I'm in Duhnen! The beacon convinces me every time with its incredibly good food. The steaks are fried to the point, the mashed potatoes are homemade and the beer is cool, tasty and unusual. The service is attentive, quick and absolutely friendly. Reservations are always possible and will be kept. The price / performance ratio is right here.

Sitting outside as well as inside is very nice. The food tastes great throughout and the staff is super friendly. When we are in Cuxhaven, we always love to come.

Enjoyed very nice breakfast with family. Small but very good selection. Coffee and cocoa top. Very quick and courteous service. Overall very successful. Lovely again.

Couldn't eat, reserve at least 2 days in advance. Impossible by phone, no one answered. When I was there and asked why the phone was shown to me what was ringing and then just hidden under a menu. Conclusion: great location, but no longer need the individual guest. So don't even try to eat

Great food with a sea view! We were particularly pleased about the vegan options, which were lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients. Due to the high price only 4 stars.

Was there to eat today, I can only say 5 stars are not enough! I would give it 10 stars. The meat was a divinity, I've never eaten anything like it. HAMMER ...... The only small drawback was that there weren't enough fries for me. My motto there were never hungry craftsmen !!!! Laugh ...... We recommend!!!!!

We were there for breakfast, the staff was a bit overwhelmed. The coffee and tea were delicious, which we can't say about the breakfast. The wrong breakfast was brought and the normal bread roll was very dry. It's actually a shame you have a very, very nice view of the North Sea.

Were 1st times here due to map. . Waiter very friendly and nice ... the pan fish was ok but nothing special ... as well as the cordon blue ... price was too high for this food ... but beautiful sunset

The "Restaurant Leuchtfeuer Duhnen" was by far the best restaurant during our holiday here & we will be back on our next holiday! The food is delicious. We had delicious starters and the main course was freshly caught fish and meat. Everything was delicious and was rounded off with a good bottle of wine. In addition to the really nice and friendly service, there is another highlight: the location. If the weather is right, you can enjoy an unforgettable sunset right on the beach. But don't forget that where it's good, it's always full! So make a reservation!

We spontaneously came in for a coffee to relax briefly. After 4 hours of 1 meal and 4-5 drinks later we left again. Towards evening we went to the beacon again. The next day we were there for dinner in the evening, with main and dessert. We were served quickly and well, our food requests were met. The prices are worth it for the location and the service. We both come from the field and were really impressed. I have to say, SORRY, GEIL!

Interesting restaurant right on the dike with a beautiful view of the Elbe estuary and "large pots" coming in (when they come in). The service is very quick and very friendly. Food and drinks are i. O. The prices are in the slightly higher segment, but are still okay. All in all, a location to come back to.

Hui. That was nothing, dear beacon. We had set up a table for 5 people 3 weeks ago. Inside the restaurant !! We were there punctually at 6:00 p.m. We should then sit outside in the cold and in the wind and it was bad weather. We discuss with the 2 employees who had decided that. Snappy and unfriendly was conveyed to us ... if you don't want to. Then others are happy. If this is the new way of dealing with guests in the beacon then it could happen that the light goes out faster than you think. Arrogance is no good at all in a house like this. Do a personal training. DISAPPOINTING.

Great restaurant at the end of the promenade. Outside you can sit right by the sea. The interior has a modern design, you can even watch the chefs serving. Due to the current situation, we had reserved a month in advance. They couldn't be found on arrival as we had reserved by phone and not by email. When the entry was found, we were assigned a high table with bar stools (without backrests!). For me personally, that doesn't work at all. Without a reservation it would be absolutely fine but not book in advance. I expect a cozy table to sit on. The food and the service made up for a lot. Modern German cuisine. Hence the four stars.

[Vegan food] First of all: it's great that there is vegan food! We selected this restaurant for this offer and for the view of the Wadden Sea. The burger and sweet potatoes were tasty. The pattie tasted good and the fries were particularly tasty and crispy. However, I find the price of 18 € very excessive for such a small portion! (Hence a star deduction. I subtracted the second star for the extreme volume outside. This was caused by the constantly tinkling phone and the tarpaulin roof.) The service was very friendly. Drinks were delicious.

We are excited. The restaurant is on top of the dike and you can see the ships big and small go by. The restaurant is a bit rustic. That's fine too. But the food is already suspicious of stars. In advance we had three Nordic tapas in the glass. That was an excellent seafood salad with shrimp, octopus and delicious dip. In the second glass there was smoked salmon on an algae salad and in the third there was sherrymatjes with onions and dip. There was also a wonderful bread. Class! My wife had Caesar's salad for the main course. Very tasty and I had redfish saltimbocca. To kneel down. The wines were also good and properly chilled. Then the free sunset in the west with a glass of wine in hand. More is not possible. Thanks to the super friendly staff for a wonderful evening.

I was there 3 evenings. I have seldom experienced such good service! Tim and Jana are super friendly and attentive, so I felt really comfortable. I hope you continue like this and I wish you all the best for the future from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Water € 6.50 COLA 0.2L € 2.70 I also find it expensive, but it says in the menu, so everyone knows what they are ordering. Staff friendly and food was delivered quickly! We were there with 3 children and immediately found a place. Everything was tasty.

Great location right on the beach, beautiful view of the sea, good ambience, very friendly and attentive service and very, very delicious food. We didn't know what to take, but were more than happy with our choice. We look forward to our next visit to Cuxhaven in the beacon!

Nice location for a restaurant, but when we wanted to join two tables of two in the outside seating area we where harshly told this is not permitted and we were asked to have our kids sit on a different end of the outside area than us. So we left. Reputation might be good, but friendliness needs to improve.

Staff is just adorable. Prices are fair and the food delicious. Gern wieder.

Great Food... free of tourist type attitude They serve just a few main courses including fish, steak and burgers All in great quality, outstanding taste and seems to be fresh. Fast served and presented in a great way

I had dinner here two nights ago at sunset time. I really loved the view overlooking the sunset on the sea as we waited for our dinner. The location is beautiful with huge windows so you can enjoy the seascape as you dine. The menu had options for everyone. They had a variety of burgers (fish, beef, veggie, beef-ostrich, and chicken). They also had soup, salads, steaks and fish. This week is "lamb week," so they also had a few lamb specials. I ordered their Chili-Cheese Burger and my husband had their fish burger. The burger bun was delicious and my burger was juicy and tender. The "chili" was actually a pepper sauce that was spicy and tangy. My husband loved the fish burger and thought it was seasoned & cooked perfectly. We both had sweet potato fries, which were crispy and delicious. The service was also great. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We definitely plan to come again!

Great location to have dinner or just a few drinks. If you're able to mskr it around sunset with the company of thé one - the love of your life - and both enjoying a Gin-Tonic... there's no doubt. Cuxhaven is part of paradise.
